How The Ferebee Group PLLC handles personal information connected with this site and the emails you send us.

Effective date: October 26, 2026

This notice explains how The Ferebee Group PLLC (“the firm,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information connected with The Ferebee Group Insights website at ferebeegroupinsights.com (the “site”) and the emails you send us through it.

Who we are

The Ferebee Group PLLC is a Texas law firm focused on corporate, M&A and securities matters. Our office is at 5900 Balcones Dr, Austin, TX 78731. You can reach us about this notice at consult@ferebeegroupinsights.com.

The short version

  • The site has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. The site itself does not set cookies.
  • The consultation and briefing forms do not send anything to us. They prepare an email in your own mail application. We receive your information only if you choose to send that email.
  • We use what you send to respond to you, to check for conflicts of interest and, if you ask, to send our weekly briefings.
  • We do not sell personal information.

Information we collect

Information you send us. If you send a consultation request, the email includes what you entered: your name, business email, company, topic, timing and a short summary, plus anything else you add. If you ask for the weekly briefings, the email includes your name, business email and your request to receive them. Any email you send us also carries standard email information, such as your address, the date and time, and technical header details.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our website hosting provider automatically records standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. We do not use analytics tools, and we do not use this information to build profiles of visitors.

What we do not ask for. We do not ask for payment information, government identification numbers, tax IDs or precise location, and the site does not collect them.

Please do not send confidential information

Sending a consultation request or any other message through the site does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship with the firm begins only when we confirm it in writing, usually through a signed engagement letter. Until then, please keep your request general. Do not send confidential or privileged information, documents, tax IDs, financial statements or anything time-sensitive. We handle consultation requests with care and consistently with our professional obligations, but email is not a fully secure channel.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your request and arrange a consultation;
  • run conflict-of-interest checks, which law firms must do before taking on a matter;
  • send the weekly briefings, but only if you asked for them;
  • operate, maintain and protect the site, including preventing misuse; and
  • comply with law and our professional obligations, and protect our legal rights.

A consultation request does not add you to the briefings list. You must ask for the briefings separately.

How we share information

We share personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers. We use outside providers to run the firm’s systems. For example, our firm email runs on Google Workspace, and the site is served by a website hosting provider. These providers handle information on our behalf so they can provide their services.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena or court order, when our professional rules require it, or when needed to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
  • At your direction. We may share information when you ask us to or agree that we may.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Cookies, analytics and “Do Not Track”

The site itself does not set cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising pixels, social media plugins or embedded third-party content, and its fonts are served from the site itself. We do not track visitors across other websites, and we do not allow third parties to collect information about your online activities across websites through our site. Because we do not track you across websites, the site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal. If we ever add analytics or similar tools, we will update this notice first.

Links to other websites

Our articles cite and link to outside sources, such as government websites and court opinions. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this notice does not cover them.

How long we keep information

We keep consultation requests and related email for as long as we need them to respond, to maintain the conflict-check records our professional obligations require, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. Because conflict checks rely on records of past inquiries, we may keep a basic record of a request, such as the name, company and general nature of the inquiry, even if we do not take on the matter. We keep briefing subscriptions until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep only what we need to honor your request. Our hosting provider keeps its technical logs under its own standard practices.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. These include limiting access to firm email to the people who need it and using a business email service with security controls. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure. This is another reason not to send confidential information through the site or by email before we have agreed to represent you.

Your choices and requests

You may email consult@ferebeegroupinsights.com to ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we have about you;
  • correct it;
  • delete it; or
  • stop sending you the briefings.

We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We aim to respond within 45 days. We may have to keep some information, for example conflict-check records or information we must keep by law. If so, we will tell you what we kept and why. If you disagree with our response, you can reply and ask us to reconsider, and we will respond in writing.

Unsubscribing from the briefings

Every briefing will explain how to unsubscribe. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing consult@ferebeegroupinsights.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line. We will honor your request promptly, and in any event within 10 business days.

Children

The site is meant for business professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

The firm is based in Texas, and we handle information in the United States.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised notice on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make a significant change, such as adding analytics, we will also note the change at the top of this page for a reasonable period.
