Principal Attorney

Melvin J. Ferebee III, Esq.

Melvin J. Ferebee III is a Texas-licensed corporate and securities attorney and the principal of The Ferebee Group PLLC, the transactional law firm he founded in 2018. His practice centers on mergers and acquisitions and on securities work: private placements, capital formation, and offerings of debt and equity securities.

On the M&A side, he works on letters of intent, purchase agreements, diligence and closing for buyers and sellers of businesses. On the securities side, he works on offering structure, offering documents and investor disclosures for sponsors and companies raising capital. He also represents clients in commercial real estate and entertainment law transactions, and advises on entity formation, governance, venture financing and business succession.

His approach is to identify the downside early and structure the documents around it, so clients understand the trade-offs before terms are set rather than after.
